Titan Nutrition July Athlete of the Month, Gareth (@thefitnessmaverick), started his fitness journey by lifting weights at the age of 13 in his bedroom. You would figure that he would immediately start with biceps and triceps, but he actually started with hip thrusts, floor presses, rowing, and deadlifts. Gareth even started saving up for some creatine, but his mother didn't take it lightly when she discovered white powder in a clear bag under his bed.
Gareth’s goals for training have flourished over the years, from wanting to look like a muscle bag, to training for sports performance, to his current niche, aesthetics.
“I fell in love with how it made me feel, how I could manipulate certain training variables to get a specific result, and how food and supplementation could augment the results. It only made sense that I become a personal trainer, which also helped pay my way through college and postgraduate study. I got addicted to learning more through reading, and then couldn’t wait to apply what I was learning on my “test subjects”, my clients at the time.
Gareth now works with physique competitors on his team at TeamEPT.com. He was introduced to Titan Nutrition through current Titan athlete - Shelace Shoemaker. Gareth started recommending Titan products to his clients and was recruited to join team Titan after witnessing his clients successes while using Titan Nutrition supplements.
Here is a look at his current diet and the variability that goes into it.
I tend to eat a solid post-workout meal within about an hour. Yesterday it was some leftover apple crumble that I’d made with my toddler the day before, and some Greek yogurt with some vanilla whey mixed in.
Lunch is usually mid afternoon and yesterday was chicken I’d added some spices to and threw in the air fryer. Boiled rice. Brussels sprouts. Lunch varies but is usually done form of chicken, rice and veggies.
Dinner yesterday was a big salad. Cooked chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, avocado, and a bunch of tortilla chips crushed up and mixed in. Dressed with fat free ranch dressing.
Evening snack was a Ninja creami. Basically made a protein shake with almond milk and a little xanthan gum. Frozen and then Creami-fied. Topping was a handful of granola.
Gareth's favorite Titan products are Enlite, Kickin Mystic Mind, EAAs, Ares Essentials, and SLEEP.
His advice for beginners is to avoid the noise of social media and focus on what your #1 priority is when it comes to training. Continue to push through the training and once your ready to get out of your comfort zone find a personal trainer, someone like Gareth to navigate the finer details bringing your physique and training to greater heights.
Gareth’s goal for 2024 is to see his clients succeed in their competition goals.
“Since the Team EPT business model is focused on getting great results and a level of coaching that our clients are proud to shout about, this works great with my business growth goals, too.”
Gareth, thank you so much for representing our brand so well all the way in the UK! We appreciate having you on the team!
