The creation of Kre-Ex, our flagship product, dates back to 2006, a time when the pre-workout market was far from its current state. Even energy drinks like Monster and RedBull were just starting to gain popularity. Pre-workout options were limited, and many people relied on caffeine supplements and coffee as their go-to choices.

Amid loose regulations that allowed companies to cut corners and include ingredients with known adverse side effects in pre-workouts, Titan took a different path. Our founder set out to create a product line that would set the standard for excellence across all supplement categories. The first formulation of Kre-Ex initially included well-established, human-research-backed ingredients such as kre-alkalyn, arginine, and caffeine. During this time, there was an ongoing debate about the most effective form of creatine for exercise benefits. The name "Kre-Ex" is a nod to the main ingredient of that time, Kre-Alkalyn®, a trademarked pH corrected form of creatine which was safe to consume and well-studied at the time. 

As studies continue to progress on improved nutrient delivery and ingredient efficacy, we continue to enhance our formulations to stay at the forefront of innovation. 

In 2006 and 2007, human studies revealed that beta-alanine greatly increases muscle carnosine levels and reduces fatigue. With findings like these, we didn't hesitate to reformulate Kre-Ex to match the latest research. And we’re still doing it.
